The transition from punk to funk-laced alternative was complete by 1992. The sound on this album is big and grand, and is at home alongside bands like DigHayZoose and Hot Pink Turtle from this era. I preferred Balance of Power, but the this album is as solid and the remaster sounds fantastic.

Every song on this album is fantastic. It’s so intense and dark and it grooves so heavy. The lyrics deal with loss, and the record is a powerful catharsis for all who are hurting and grieving. Easily in my top five albums of all time. A masterpiece and a treasure.
